Dick Jan Abbringh
Clients characterize me as being personal but also goal oriented. I get my energy from creating order in complex situations which clients don’t know how to deal with. This is when I am performing at my best.
My ambition is to help clients increase their personal and organizational effectiveness. I achieve these goals through developing inter-personal relationships. I combine creativity, vision and intuition with structure, methodology and reasoning.
Our company, Purpose Management Consulting, combines the ‘hard’ (structure, control, reward) with the ‘soft’ (people, culture, behavior) elements of change management. Within this field we offer a customized approach in which we apply strict methodologies and clear reasoning toward achieving a highly effective transformation in your organization that is accepted by your employees. In this process I act in alignment with the organization’s purpose, and I am convinced that that motivates people.
In the past 15 years I worked for many customers. These include banks and insurance companies as well as non-profit organizations like prisons. The common factor in helping these customers is change management. By applying change management in the correct way, I am capable of helping my clients to improve their organizations.
Furthermore I have a lovely wife and three adorable children, with whom I spend as much of my spare time as possible. In the mean time I have exchanged my rugged past as a beach volleyball player for a game of field hockey on Monday evenings.
